Our client is searching for a Senior Energy Modeller to be based at their Johannesburg offices The ideal candidate would be one who has excellent energy and thermal modelling technical skills preferably with Green Star modelling being highly advantageous

Key Performance Areas
Carry out energy and thermal modelling for Green Star load sizing and design development
Mentor/supervise junior energy modelling engineers
Engage with clients
Creating the geometry of buildings based on the CAD drawings or Revit model and adding further model details such as the envelop constructions weather file orientation activities and operational schedules
Predominantly Green Star validation modelling with an increasing tendency to early stage design advice and general sustainability consulting

Requirements
At least 3 years experience of energy and thermal modelling required
Mechanical engineering background
Engineering qualifications required
Energy Modelling Experience/Qualification
Knowledge of Green Star modelling beneficial
Extensive working knowledge of CAD and Revit with a very good working knowledge of design simulation software packages Design Builder and IES
