Our client a leading retail brand is searching for an Area Manager for the Gauteng region The ideal incumbent would be one who presently holds or has solid experience as an Area Manager within the active/ fashion/ clothing/ retail industry
Key Performance Areas Take full ownership of the area and its financial performance Drive store sales productivity and profitability by mentoring and developing Store Managers Drive a service and selling culture Plan and prioritize structured store visits to maximize the area performance and ensure that ensure all stores in the area are visited at least once per month Spend focused time on the sales floor during store visits to determine service improvement opportunities and to coach the Store Managers Ensure proper instore Brand execution according to established standards and directives in all stores within the Area Facilitate the effective and timely delivery and execution of product training materials in the stores Ensure compliance with established policies procedures initiatives and directives Manage loss prevention as well as health and safety risks Recruitment onboarding training and development Ensure compliance to established HR policies and procedures Create a high performance culture by setting clear expectations analyzing performance and giving appropriate and prompt feedback including actively managing poor performance
Requirements Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience managing multiple stores within the active/ fashion/ clothing/ retail industry Advanced numeracy literacy and verbal communication skills Must have valid drivers license and be prepared to travel to stores across region Being able to coach the Store Managers for which will require the candidate to be on duty for 2 halve Saturdays per calendar month
